From Awareness to Action: Creating ADHD-Inclusive Workplaces

Aspire.

Achieve.

Ascend.

Ascend ADHD grew out of the workplace ADHD awareness training developed at The ADHD Advocate. After training numerous organisations and coaching professionals who were struggling at work, it became clear that the traditional employer-versus-employee dynamic—often ending in costly, stressful disputes—is not sustainable. Awareness training is effective and valuable, but on its own it isn’t enough. Without clear accountability—both for businesses and for providers—and without ongoing, hands-on support, the impact fades and the same problems resurface.

Ascend was created to provide that missing layer of sustained support and shared responsibility. We exist to embed neurodiversity-friendly practice before conflict arises—so that managers and teams have the capability, confidence, and language to address challenges early, communicate well, and design work in ways that enable people with ADHD to thrive. Drawing on a coaching-led approach and years of experience supporting ADHDers in and out of the workplace, we equip leaders and teams with practical skills, structures, and rhythms that actually stick.

Our programmes go beyond one-off sessions. We partner with organisations over time—building manager skillsets, reinforcing good practice, and aligning policy, process, and culture. That means tailored leadership development, manager tools and templates, coaching and case consultation, and pragmatic policy guidance. We make it easier to translate insight into everyday behaviours: how meetings run, how deadlines are managed, how performance is supported, how feedback is given, and how reasonable adjustments are implemented with clarity and care.

At the heart of Ascend is the commitment to ongoing support. Helping ADHDers reach their potential doesn’t happen in a day, and genuine culture change is not a tick-box exercise. We put in place the check-ins, feedback loops, and accountability that keep progress moving—so organisations don’t just “accommodate” ADHDers; they enable them to contribute at their best, and teams as a whole to perform better.

The result is a healthier, more collaborative workplace: fewer disputes, earlier interventions, clearer expectations, and stronger relationships. By moving from awareness to accountability—and from crisis response to proactive support—Ascend helps organisations create conditions where ADHD talent can flourish and everyone benefits.
